CEDC Executive Director Announces Plans to Return to Private Sector

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(LANCASTER,NH) – Ericka Canales, Executive Director for Coös Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) has announced to the CEDC Board of Directors her intentions to leave the organization and return to the private sector effective September 20, 2024. The search for her replacement will begin immediately.  Canales will help during the transition to a new Executive Director as both move forward.

Carol Miller, President, CEDC Board of Directors, states, "Ericka has served in this role for over two years and the Board would like to extend its gratitude to her for the innovative pursuit of economic development initiatives throughout the county.   During her tenure, CEDC has raised its profile within the region and developed stronger relationships with partner and collaborative entities, municipal, county, and state government."  Miller continued, "We are fortunate to have worked with Ericka for the last two plus years.  She has had a profound effect on our clients, partners, and colleagues that will continue into the future.   She was responsible for securing Tillotson, Northern Border Regional Commission, and USDA grants as well as working with many initiatives to increase education opportunities for students, workforce housing, and outdoor recreation initiatives in support of economic opportunity.   We are confident that we will secure a new Executive Director in a timely manner so there are no gaps in service to our clients and partners or delays in the deliverables of our grant funded projects.”

CEDC has already begun the search for the next Executive Director of the organization. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Ericka Canales at info@coosedc.org or (603) 788-3900.
